The South West Hertfordshire Joint Strategic Plan (JSP) will cover the five council areas of Dacorum Borough Council, St Albans City and District Council, Three Rivers District Council, Hertsmere Borough Council and Watford Borough Council (see map below).
Each council will still be responsible for preparing their own Local Plan, but the JSP will begin to set the strategic framework and shared priorities within which future Local Plans are prepared.
All five Councils together with Hertfordshire County Council have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to take the JSP work forward.
